Entitlement and coworkers

Why do some employees feel so entitled to do what they want in the workplace?  This unfortunately happens daily in my job.  They are the young girls who think their beautiful that suck up to management and the doctors.  They have lack of respect for their coworkers and others.  It is a terrible thing that occurs and we wonder how the work would get done if we had to leave it up to these morons.

Children and entitlement

How can it be that our very young children believe they are entitled to everything?  Parenting is not like it used to be.  We used to have to work very hard with grades and chores to get anything.  We used to save for what we needed or had.  I think their was more appreciation when you bought or received something new.  It is sad that society is letting it get so bad that people walk around clueless and do not want to work.  The government is also responsible for this sense of entitlement.  They give free healthcare and checks to people who don't deserve it.  We need young people to realize the only way to make it in this world is to study and work hard for what we need and want.

Entitlement In School

Students believe they are entitled to material things even when they do not do well in school.  I remember when I was in high school my parents expected me to do well to earn new stuff to make me happy.  I believe the parenting has gotten to the point that many parents just want their children to have everything regardless if the child earned it or not.  This is not teaching our children to work hard. 

Entitlement In The Classroom

It is sad that we all expect an A without going the extra mile.  I have learned through some of my classes this semester that we must push ourselves to the limit but we are not entitled to an A.  We just must continue to work real hard and learn as much as we can because a lot of the classes are tied together and most of our work is repeated through other classes.  This has given me a second or third chance to learn correctly.  I think entitlement is our own satisfaction whe we do well.  :-)

Entitlement 2

We all have the sense of entitlement depending on the circumstance.  We don't think about it; we just react to things if they don't go the way we want.  Entitlement follows us into our studies and effects different areas of our life.  We think if we do everything the way we should we deserve entitlement.  After reading some of the articles I realize that we all think we deserve entitlement for going out of our way but we should never expect it.  It is a hard lesson to learn.

Rain

I just had the scariest experience driving from Delray Beach to my house in Wellington.  The rain started coming down real hard along with the thunder and lightening.  I couldn't see two feet in front of me and was stuck in the left lane on 441.  I couldn't get over to the right to wait the rain out like other people did.  I drove at about 35 to 45 miles per hour and this truck flew by me and cut me off only to throw more rain on my windshield.  I often wonder where these idiots get their licenses from and they don't make it further than you because they have to slam on their brakes because of the red light.  Everyone else was driving at the same speed as I because of the rain.  I prayed all the way home.

Entitlement

Many people believe in entitlement without working for it.  I have always have been taught that you need to work hard for things to be entitled to them.  I decided to go back to school to learn as much as I can to be entitled to my BSN in nursing.  I don't expect anyone to hand it to me.  I love the medical field and believe after I learn as much as I can I will feel a sense of entitlement.  :-)

Writing

Writing is harder than I thought.  I have ideas in my head but so hard to get them on paper.  I am trying so hard that I am looking into things too much.  I pray that it gets easier as I learn because I want to reach my goal of becoming a registered nurse.  I believe this will happen but I have a lot to learn in school.  I have 15 years work experience in the medical field and absolutely love it.  I believe I could do so much once I get my degree and I will make a difference in this world.  School is a lot of learning and writing is important.

Stand Your Ground Law 3

The more I look at this law the more baffled I get.  It seems in a select few cases it may be validated but in majority of the cases they shoot first and then as defense put this law into their defense.  Where is the retreat or get help first?  Stand Your Ground Law is different in every scenario.  Confusing.

Stand Your Ground Law comment 2

I am still learning a lot about the law but I still find that there are not many facts to this law.  I believe in protecting yourself but this law is way out of control.  I believe sometimes you can talk it out or just retreat are better options.  I like that I can protect myself but I don't believe in violence before the facts are known.

Writing

I didn't realize how important it is to establish an audience is for writing.  The knowledge of that person is important to know to get your point across. There are so many different factors to know before writing. I learn something new everyday.

I will give my first speech on Saturday

I am so nervous to do my first speech.  I have been practicing but am having a hard time making it all flow together.  I hope I don't forget everything standing in front of the classroom.  I hope and pray I do well.

Stand Your Ground Law

Stand Your Ground Law is a very confusing law from what I read so far.  I am for it but against it because of the stipulations that anyone feeling threatened can shoot you.  This law is way out for people but then again I believe everyone has the right to protect themselves from bodily harm.  This paper will be challenging.
